Dr. Matt Parsons
Dr. Matt Parsons has spent much of his life devoted to health and wellness. An avid fitness enthusiast, Dr. Parsons began his pathway to health and wellness when he became involved in the athletic programs in his hometown of Taylor, TX. Dr. Matt was involved in several sports over the course of the years, but took particular interest in powerlifting and football. He spent two years in high school powerlifting, earning third place in the Texas Highschool State Powerlifting Championships his senior year. He then went to Texas A&M and continued with the Powerlifting Team for the Aggies, qualifying for nationals for all four years he was eligible. It was at this point when Dr. Matt turned his attention to chiropractic healthcare. Although he had been seeing chiropractors since a much younger age, the final decision to become a chiropractor came after various injuries he sustained which were made better, not by the medication he was given(it didn’t help), but through the use of chiropractic.
Dr. Matt went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M in December of 2000. He then moved on to Texas Chiropractic College where he graduated from TCC with a second Bachelor of Science degree, this one in Human Biology, as well as a Doctorate of Chiropractic. While there he also had the privilege of serving as his class Ethics Officer, and was President/Co-Founder of the Texas Chiropractic College Powerlifting Club. Dr. Matt, at that time also earned his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
After graduating chiropratic school, Dr. Matt went to work for Burow Chiropractic in Taylor, TX, serving as the Associate Doctor on staff. Over the course of his time there, Dr. Matt continued to develop his skills in chiropractic, focusing on the treatment of families as well as spending much time working with several of the athletic programs around the area. Dr. Parsons stood the sidelines with the football team in Taylor and helped athletes from Thorndale, Granger, Hutto and Thrall while there as well.
Dr. Matt also sees the need for proper nutrition in the journey to wellness and thus has also devoted much of his time to learning more on the subject. He attended a post-graduate class on clinical nutrition that consisted of over 300 hours of coursework, plus required case studies, a research project and several tests. He is now eligible to sit for his examination to earn a Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Matt is ever-striving to improve himself and the lives of those he comes into contact with and is always willing and waiting to meet someone new from all walks of life. He has made it his goal to reach and help as many people through Chiropractic as he can.

Penny Parsons is a fitness enthusiast and believes that exercise is what you make of it, and therefore “should not be a drag”, but instead thoroughly enjoyed. “The body does not know and really does not care what type of exercise you do, just as long as in the end the body is getting what it needs….So, why not do something fun?”
Penny has always preferred to test the physical abilities of the body against the terrain of “Nature’s Playground”, and therefore has loved to utilize places such as Yosemite, Tahoe, the Grand Canyon and anywhere that can provide a challenge with a beautiful backdrop! “That’s what I call invigorating, and that’s the way it was meant to be done!”
In 2000, while living in California, Penny began instructing Cardio Kickboxing alongside Usama Farage (Multiple times, Mr. San Jose). That’s when she realized her passion was to help others enjoy reaching their physical capabilities through creativity, fun and sweat! “It’s not only inspiring to see adults achieve what they never thought possible, but it brings out the kid in them, and that’s awesome! This fast-paced world and the worries that come with it can really take away the best in us and make us forget how we are supposed to live this life.”
Penny also has a passion for helping seniors and Baby Boomers stay as independent as they can, for as long as possible. Penny began her senior fitness program called the “Senior Supremes” at a local fitness facility in 2006 and saw how quickly the physical benefits of fun exercise came for this group. “As we age, getting into and out of the bath tub, climbing stairs or even walking what used to be fair distances can become a challenge. Well that group now knows those challenges can be overcome and the effects of aging reversed.”
