The 5 Minute Journal: Over the years, one of the best things that I have learned to do is using a journal. You don’t need anything fancy. In fact you can use just a spiral if you choose to, but take time every day to write something in your journal. Maybe it’s something you are grateful for. Maybe it’s an idea you have. Maybe it’s a question you want to learn more about. This particular journal is a good start if you aren’t sure what to write. It gives an inspirational quote as well as writing prompts that should take you no more than 5 minutes in the morning and at night.
The Traveler’s Gift and The Final Summit by Andy Andrews. These books will really open eyes to some basic principles that will make your life just work so much better. Andy has a unique gift for bringing wisdom and perspective to his readers with easy to read and understand stories. If you are anything like me you will start reading either one of these books and won’t be able to put them down.
The Gift by Ron Reynolds. I can honestly say that I’m not sure any other book besides the Bible has made a bigger impact on my life than this book. It was written back in the 80’s when the United States was going through some interesting times. History has repeated itself and the book applies today as it did then. The main reason is that principles don’t change. This book is all about principles told in a wonderful story format. I’ve read it multiple times and learn something new each time.
